Both my husband and myself are Type 2 Diabetics and have been for quite some time. My high risk pregnancies, three of them right in a row with each ending in super high risk C-section deliveries propelled me into brittle Diabetes and my husband swears that he caught it from me- LOL! But however it is that we both became Diabetics, we struggle with our complications and risks for complications daily just like so many of you out there do. One of the most neglected risks are our feet. There is huge risk for damage to your feet even in the guise of a harmless blister or ingrown toenail. With Diabetes many sufferers either don't know it's there due to lack of sensation to our lower extremities or lack of keeping a good eye out for any damage either taking place or about to take place. I have come across this video of a foot exam that I thought I'd post so everyone out there can become more aware of Diabetes and how to properly manage it. Please take care of yourselves and especially those piggy toes we all take so for granted.
What are some of the complications of Diabetes that you might like to share with our readers out there? Remember to leave any helpful hints so others can learn from your experiences and self management of living with this out of control disease.
